Dr. Winnie Chang holds an EdD in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Miami, along with a master’s and bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. She is an experienced educator, learning scientist, and academic leader whose work has focused on student success across undergraduate, graduate, and medical education. Most recently, Dr. Chang served as Director of Student Academic Success Services at Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, where she also held roles as Learning Scientist and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. Earlier in her career, she served as a Learning Specialist and adjunct faculty member at the University of Miami and began her professional journey as an educator in public schools.

Dr. Chang brings extensive expertise in learning science, academic coaching, and standardized test preparation, having worked as a consultant and learning specialist for students ranging from K‑12 through medical and professional programs. She has supported preparation for the MCAT, USMLE Step examinations, medical board exams, and other standardized assessments, while also advising institutions on learning strategy development and academic support programming. An active contributor to medical education scholarship, Dr. Chang has authored peer‑reviewed publications and presented nationally on learning strategies, student performance, and innovation in medical education. She is a member of the Association of American Medical Colleges and the Medical Education Learning Specialists community and is recognized for her student‑centered, evidence‑based approach to academic success.
