Dr. Samson Chan currently serves as Chairman of the Department of Surgery; Director of General, Minimally-Invasive, and Robotic Surgery; Staff Attending General Surgeon – General/Acute Care Surgery; and Vice Chief of Insight Hospital Medical Staff at Insight Chicago Hospital. He is also the President, CEO and Chief Medical Officer of Chicago Medical & Surgical Specialists, a medical and surgical consulting firm. Dr. Chan received both his medical degree and MBA from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his General Surgery Residency at Ascension St. John Hospital and Medical Center. He is currently board-certified in General Surgery by the American College of Surgeons.
