Hayley Derricott, PhD

Dr. Derricott holds a PhD in human development from the University of Manchester. She comes to WAUSM from Queens Mary, the University of London’s medical school in Gozo, where she was a senior lecturer in anatomy. With more than 15 years of teaching experience, Dr. Derricott participates in numerous formats of delivery: from small group, case-based tutorials to large group lectures. As an anatomist, much of her teaching involves demonstrating complex 3D information, either on cadaveric specimens or by utilizing simulations. She is passionate about providing the best quality learning experience for all her students. A member of the Higher Education Academy and Institute for Anatomical Sciences, Dr. Derricott has been published in numerous scholarly journals including: Frontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology, Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, the Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and the American Journal of Pathology.
