Following the completion of a MSc degree at the Université Laval, Canada, Dr. Marankan earned a PhD with an award from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Illinois at the Chicago Medical Center. Her work in medical research addressed major topics in cardiovascular diseases, blood dyscrasias, cancer, type 2 diabetes, and Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Marankan’s vast teaching experience at the University of Illinois at Chicago, the University of British Columbia, and Saint James School of Medicine includes pharmacology, biochemistry, evidence-based medicine, and medical research gained. As an avid entrepreneur, Dr. Marankan is the founder of CPEPrep and the author of seven competency-based review books for healthcare professionals.
