Dr. Khalil earned his PhD in biomedical sciences from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and taught human physiology as an adjunct professor at Fordham University for five years before joining WAUSM. He has worked in the field of cancer and metastasis research for over a decade, first as a graduate student and later as a postdoctoral fellow. He completed two postdoctoral fellowships at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. He has 13 published, peer-reviewed research and review articles with several others currently under revision. As a postdoctoral fellow, he was supported by a T32 postdoctoral training grant from the National Institute of Health (NIH).
