Associate Professor

Dr. Deanna Warner completed her PhD in analytical chemistry at the University of Cincinnati and performed postdoctoral research in pharmacology at the University of Kentucky. Her professional background includes 16 years of experience in higher education at institutions including Salem State University, Broward College, and Northwest Florida State College, as well as nine years in the biotech/chemical industry.

Over the course of her academic career, Dr. Warner has been recognized as a leader in curriculum design and course development and has had the opportunity to mentor students with interests in the medical field. During her nine years leading research teams in the biotech/chemical industry at Metabolix, Solutia, and Bayer, Dr. Warner was awarded a patent, developed numerous novel proprietary bioanalytical methods of analysis, and was a member of the research team that developed the world’s first biodegradable and biorenewable plastic.
