Undergraduate studies

Transition & pre-clinical MD
Years 3–4 · year-round terms

Clinical clerkships
Years 5–6 · U.S. teaching hospitals
Core and elective clinical rotations at WAUSM partner teaching hospitals across the U.S. Year 6 completes in Fall and Spring.
Dual-credit terms count toward both the bachelor’s degree and the MD. Location is shown by the country flag under each phase.
The Goucher Experience
Goucher offers two distinct academic paths into the APMD. Public Health majors study disease prevention and population health, with a strong emphasis on global health, social justice, and environmental sustainability. Environmental Science majors work across natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences to tackle environmental challenges through hands-on, experiential coursework.
As with every APMD partner, Goucher students also get clinical exposure through WAUSM’s partner hospitals, a compressed six-year timeline, and WAUSM’s residency-focused career mentorship. See the Overview and How It Works pages for what’s consistent across the whole pathway.
For full baseline application requirements and international visa timing, see the Admissions page. For questions about transfer credit or anything not covered here, see the FAQ.
