Dr. Shivcharan Chavan is a medical doctor and public health specialist with extensive experience in medical education and clinical skills training. He earned his MBBS and MD in Community Medicine from Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, India. Dr. Chavan has taught at several international medical schools and brings significant experience from the Caribbean, including roles at the Medical University of the Americas in Nevis and Xavier University School of Medicine in Aruba. With more than seven years of experience in medical education, Dr. Chavan teaches subjects including Clinical Skills, Epidemiology, and Social Sciences. He is particularly passionate about helping students develop strong clinical reasoning and patient-communication skills through simulation training, standardized patient encounters, and OSCE-based teaching. Dr. Chavan’s teaching philosophy emphasizes small-group learning, active participation, and case-based discussions that promote critical thinking and real-world clinical application. He enjoys conducting workshops and interactive sessions designed to support student success and professional development. Known for his approachable teaching style, he is highly valued by students for his engaging and supportive learning environment.
