A faster, more affordable route to becoming a practicing physician—enabling you to enter the workforce and begin earning sooner than traditional medical education timelines around the world.
According to student mobility reports, international students make up less than one percent of students enrolled in medical doctorate programs in the United States and Canada. In the United Kingdom, the number of international students in medical doctorate programs is capped at 7.55%.
Yet, according to the Association of American Medical Colleges, one in five U.S. physicians was born or educated abroad.
Western Atlantic University School of Medicine (WAUSM) and its partners recognize the need for a pathway for international students to access clerkship and residency opportunities in the United States and has created a unique program that allows students to earn a Bachelor’s Degree and Doctor of Medicine (MD) in six years.

WAUSM’s rigorous 6-Year Bachelor to MD pathway offers driven, high-achieving students a faster, more affordable route to becoming practicing physicians—enabling them to enter the workforce and begin earning significantly sooner than traditional medical education timelines around the world.
