Katrina Parker, MD

Professor, Clinical and Behavioral Medicine

Dr. Parker graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in microbiology and public health before going on to earn her MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. She completed an internal medicine internship at Wayne State University Affiliated Hospitals and a pediatrics residency at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, after which she attended the University of Pittsburgh where she completed a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology. Prior to joining WAUSM, Dr. Parker held the following positions: director of the Turners Syndrome Clinic at the University of Alabama at Birmingham; interim director of the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX; and director of the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at Morehouse School of Medicine where she served as the chairperson of the Endocrine Workgroup for the Newborn Screening Committee. Dr. Parker’s experience also includes serving at Ross University School of Medicine as a faculty member in the Department of Clinical Foundations, the chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Sub-committee of the Curriculum Committee, and co-chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Search Committee.
