Accreditation: The Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and Other Health Profession (CAAM-HP) granted candidacy status to WAUSM. CAAM-HP is the legally constituted body established in 2003 under the aegis of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) empowered to determine and prescribe standards and to accredit programs of medical, dental, veterinary, and other health professions education on behalf of the contracting parties of CARICOM.

Nondiscrimination Policy: This policy applies to the recruitment and admission of students, employment of faculty and staff, and scholarship and loan programs. This policy is also followed in the operation of all other programs, activities, and services of Western Atlantic University School of Medicine (WAUSM).

Any allegation of discrimination will be investigated. The reporting individual may file a report without fear of retaliation.

The Academic Catalog is published annually (January 1 – December 31). The Academic Catalog and any subsequent addendums are housed in Student Hub on Canvas



The academic catalog describes the educational program and activities available at WAUSM. WAUSM’s curriculum is designed to build a solid foundation and positions students for success.



The information contained in the student handbook serves as a guide for students throughout their academic, clinical,  and extracurricular life as members of the WAUSM community.
